Dr. Michael Walton
Michael Walton was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. He is the youngest of nine children raised in a Christian household. Michael is a graduate of DeVry University in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Walton is a bi-vocational Pastor, professionally he works as a Software Test Engineer, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Michael rededicated his life to Christ on September 8, 1994. Since that time, he has labored to find his divine calling in the ministry. In December of 1998, the Holy Spirit led him to relocate to Raleigh, North Carolina. Knowing his desire to grow in grace he enrolled in New Life Community School of Ministry and Bible Institute, where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Religion in June 2002. On Sunday, June 23, 2002, Michael received his ordination license as a Teacher of God’s Holy Word. On March 10, 2003, he received his Master of Divinity and on March 25, 2005 a Doctor of Ministry was conferred upon him from Spirit of Truth Seminary Institute in Richmond, Virginia. Dr. Walton has served many areas of ministry including the Office of Administrative Advisor, Sunday School and Bible Study Teacher. He has also held positions with several Bible and Seminary colleges as an onsite and satellite Instructor. Personally, Michael is married to the former Evelyn Marie Smith. They wedded in Holy Matrimony on October 27, 2001. Michael is the father of one son, Michael Walton, Jr. and one granddaughter, DeMaiya of Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Walton and his wife reside in Kernersville, North Carolina.
